Nestled in the foothills of Oakland and Piedmont in California, Mountain View Cemetery boasts a serene, park-like setting filed with fountains, lush gardens, and panoramic views of the water.

The cemetery’s convenient location at the end of Piedmont Avenue makes it easily accessible from the Bay and surrounding areas. Our spacious chapels and visiting rooms are comfortable and welcoming, and can accommodate intimate ceremonies and large gatherings alike.

Mountain View Cemetery’s 226 acres offer an array of interment options, including traditional graves, double-depth graves, side-by-side graves, urn gardens, and partial graves.

 

 

Chapels

 






 

People of all cultures - people whose beliefs require consecrated ground, sweeping vistas of the Bay, or simply the “Peace which passeth understanding” - all faiths and cultures are honored at Mountain View Cemetery.

We offer two chapels in which to hold services, including the picturesque Tower Chapel and Main Mausoleum chapels, where specially designed English Chapel organs of exquisite tone contribute to a comforting and inspirational atmosphere.

Chapels are available for wedding ceremonies.

 

 

Columbarium

 






 

Our columbarium includes indoor and outdoor niches, glass-front niches, and granite or marble-front niches. Feature niches are also available.

 

 

Mausoleum

 






 

We offer several types of both indoor and outdoor crypts. Single crypts, companion crypts, end-to-end crypts, and couch crypts are all available at Mountain View Cemetery.

 

 

Crematorium

 



 

Mountain View Cemetery's crematorium features an urn garden, as well as garden wall niches. We have several options for the permanent placement of cremated remains.
