Flowering Pear Garden — A New Columbarium

The beauty of nature is perhaps more important to this generation than any preceding one, and Mountain View Cemetery Association has always provided a uniquely beautiful landscape setting in the heart of a growing urban environment. The need for a place of reflection remains timeless.

The Flowering Pear Garden is a new outdoor columbarium sited in the foothills of the cemetery adjacent to the new Golden Lotus Mountain. In keeping with the desire for some to celebrate Mother Nature and inscribe a remembrance, we are creating a select number of stone terrace cremation burial sites where each will be memorialized by a flowering pear tree and an upright monument at its base. Overlooking the terrace is a granite outdoor wall of community niches planned on a semicircle to frame the garden of flowering pears.
