The Mountain View Cemetery Association was established in 1863 by citizens of the East Bay. It is a nonsectarian, community nonprofit corporation dedicated to providing comfort to families in a setting of great beauty.

For more than a century the Mountain View Cemetery Association has been committed to continuing its tradition of caring and personalized service. Association trustees are local community leaders who have made Mountain View Cemetery an important part of the heritage of the East Bay since 1863.

The Cemetery grounds are maintained through an endowment fund, assuring that the beauty of Mountain View, its lawns, graves and monuments will be well-tended in perpetuity.
